Job Summary

Sutter Health is seeking a skilled Surgical Technician II to join our team in the Operating Room. As a Surgical Technician II, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of surgical procedures, providing exceptional patient care, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist surgeons and other medical staff during surgical procedures, ensuring that all necessary equipment and supplies are available and functioning properly.
  • Prepare and maintain the operating room, including setting up and cleaning equipment, and restocking supplies.
  • Monitor and maintain aseptic technique, ensuring that all surgical instruments and equipment are properly sterilized and handled.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure that all necessary steps are taken to ensure patient safety and comfort.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest surgical techniques and technologies.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; completion of a formal accredited Operating Room Technician program preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • Two (2) years of scrubbing experience in an operating room setting preferred.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills required.
