Position Overview

Under the supervision of the Supervisor, the individual will be tasked with managing multiple phone lines to effectively schedule and coordinate ancillary testing and office appointments as directed by clinical personnel across various departments and locations. This role involves conducting professional patient interviews, triaging incoming calls, and gathering essential demographic and biographical data.

Key Responsibilities

  • Efficiently process registrations and appointments in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for interactions between care team members and patients.
  • Ensure all relevant scheduling information is accurately entered into the Parkview Health Scheduling system, maintaining data integrity across all utilized systems.
  • Request and identify necessary medical records to ensure availability for physicians regarding specific diagnoses.
  • Schedule patients with the appropriate clinical staff based on their diagnoses.

Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or equivalent (GED) is required.

Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience within a Parkview Physician Group office or 3 years in an external medical office environment is required. Proficiency in computer keyboarding and the operation of standard office equipment, including multi-line phones, calculators, and photocopiers, is essential. Familiarity with Windows-based PC applications is necessary.

Additional Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are a must. Candidates should demonstrate professional telephone etiquette, strong organizational abilities, and effective problem-solving skills. Flexibility and the capacity to manage multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail are critical. A creative and proactive approach to challenges in collaboration with clinical staff is also required.
