Pet Groomer Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Pet Groomer to join our team at Pet Supplies Plus. As a Pet Groomer, you will be responsible for providing exceptional grooming services to our furry clients, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the process.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality grooming services, including brushing, bathing, and conditioning, to meet the needs of our clients and their pets.
  • Groom and style pets according to owner instructions and/or breed standards.
  • Ensure the wellness and safety of our furry patrons at all times.
  • Develop long-term relationships with pet owners by understanding their needs and recommending products and services that promote pet health and happiness.
  • Participate in community outreach efforts to attract new clients to our store.
  • Successfully complete Safety Training certification and maintain a clean and inviting grooming environment.
  • Assist store team members during grooming downtime and continue to develop skills and pet grooming techniques.
Requirements:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 1 year of grooming experience with formal training certification and/or experience under an established certified groomer.
  • Ability to move or lift merchandise, equipment, or pets weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, bend, or stoop for extended periods.
  • Ability to provide own equipment (clippers, blades, scissors, etc.).
  • Flexibility in working evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Candidates must pass a drug screening (in applicable states) and be 18 years or older.
