We are currently seeking a skilled Construction Manager to oversee on-site construction operations managed by our partners at various locations nationwide. This role will primarily focus on supervising construction activities and ensuring adherence to safety standards, project timelines, and quality expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review construction plans and specifications to understand project design, schedule, and cost implications for effective site engagement.
  • Participate in daily and weekly construction meetings with contractors and subcontractors to ensure alignment on project objectives.
  • Engage in problem-solving discussions with project teams to maintain schedules and budgets.
  • Document action items, responsible parties, and key project decisions for accountability.
  • Identify and report any safety, progress, or cost-related issues promptly.
  • Oversee the management of BrightFarms' equipment and materials on-site by contractors.
  • Conduct daily inspections of completed work to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Generate daily status reports detailing site activities and resolutions.
  • Provide regular updates on billed items and verify submissions from contractors.
  • Collaborate with project management teams to review progress and address any concerns.
  • Represent BrightFarms in interactions with local authorities and stakeholders as necessary.
  • Promote a culture of safety and inclusivity within the work environment.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the company.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related discipline.
  • Over 15 years of experience managing large-scale and complex construction projects.
  • Demonstrated expertise in overseeing Design-Build projects and direct contractors.
  • Commitment to fostering a positive safety culture on all projects.
  • 30-hour OSHA Construction Certification.
  • Strong leadership capabilities with a focus on team motivation and success.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to facilitate collaboration among diverse teams.
  • Proficient problem-solving abilities and innovative thinking.
  • Familiarity with industry-related regulatory requirements.
  • A passion for sustainability and improving the food supply chain.
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and ambitious goals.
  • Customer-focused approach to providing exceptional support to partners.
