Job Overview
NV5 is a provider of engineering and consulting services to public and private sector clients. As a Senior Transportation Engineer (Roadways), you will be responsible for providing technical expertise, assistance, and review associated with transportation projects.

About the Role
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and 10+ years' experience in transportation (roadway) design. You must have a good understanding of and practical experience applying the AASHTO Green Book. Knowledge and experience with MicroStation, InRoads, and/or Geopak are also required. The salary for this position is estimated to be around $110,000 - $140,000 per year, depending on experience.

Responsibilities
This role includes leading roadway design projects, including geometrics, and coordinating with other disciplines in the delivery of projects. You will be responsible for preparing plans per NCDOT manuals/guidance, assigning tasks, and communicating task expectations to junior engineers and other disciplines. Additionally, you will ensure that project tasks are completed within deadlines and allotted project budgets, communicate adequately with all team members and senior management, and prepare progress reports for invoice submittal.

Qualifications
NC PE (Professional Engineering) License is required. Must possess or be able to obtain a valid driver's license prior to employment.
