Key Responsibilities
  • Care for and manage the surgical patient in the post-anesthesia period, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the recovery process.
  • Apply the nursing process, critical thinking skills, and scientific judgment to independently deliver safe and effective nursing care to patients.
  • Collaborate with the patient care team to achieve quality patient outcomes and provide seamless care transitions.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure clear understanding and expectations.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to colleagues, promoting a positive and supportive work environment.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree preferred.
  • At least one year of clinical experience as a Registered Nurse in a Recovery Room setting.
  • Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License, with the ability to obtain Texas RN License within 90 days of hire date.
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS Certification.
