Job Description

In this role, you will have the opportunity to optimize production processes and methods to minimize labor hours, ensuring alignment with business strategies related to quality, efficiency, costs, and safety. You will work closely with the Production organization to define the working phase sequence of new production processes, achieving targeted product cost and equipment investment budgets. Key responsibilities include:
  • Identifying and recommending improvement opportunities and implementing projects within specified timeframes, quality, and cost requirements.
  • Approving process designs and performing final tests for internal and external processes/equipment start-ups.
  • Providing support to Production during internal/external process/equipment start-ups, defining action plans, and training relevant resources.
  • Evaluating new process technologies to improve productivity, quality, and cost reduction, defining testing activities, approval criteria, and external provider choices.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will require:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent.
  • At least 5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of lean process improvements.
  • Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, PLC, and computer controls.
  • Proficiency with CAD software, with SolidWorks experience being a plus.
  • The ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and wear company-designated personal protective equipment.
  • Visual acuity (corrected) to read directions, prints, and gauges.
  • Frequent bending, stooping, twisting, and lifting (assisted and unassisted).
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a factory environment.
  • Ability to use hand tools and sit in front of a computer for long periods.
  • Occasional travel (domestic and/or international).
