Job Title: Civil Engineer Leadership Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Associate - Lead Civil Engineer to join our team in Boston, MA.

This is a leadership role that involves overseeing various projects involving site layout, civil engineering design, and planning. The successful candidate will ensure the successful completion of these projects while adhering to quality standards, safety protocols, and project timelines.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead a wide range of civil engineering analysis and design tasks related to roadway design, zoning analysis, site plan preparation, and stormwater management.
  • Coordinate and present submissions with local municipalities, utilities, environmental agencies, and planning boards.
  • Perform site investigations to observe and document existing conditions.
  • Complete and review design calculations; assist in the preparation of drawings, specifications, and bid packages.
  • Supervise the development of project plans, design calculations, specifications, and lead coordination with other design disciplines.
  • Provide responses and solutions to issues during construction administration.
  • Engage with existing clients and pursue new clients to support business growth.
  • Prepare technical content for proposals and attend industry functions as a representative.
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop local engineering staff.
  • Perform monthly and quarterly updates of project financials and revenue projections.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.
  • 12+ years of progressive experience in Site and Civil Engineering.
  • MA Civil PE required.
  • Experience working with MA cities, townships, MBTA, Massport, and/or MassDOT.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to provide constructive guidance to engineers and drafters.
  • Understanding and application of local code and permitting requirements.
  • Collaboration skills for pursuing business opportunities.
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
  • AutoCAD and Civil 3D experience.
