Job Summary

UCHealth is seeking a highly skilled Flight Paramedic to join our team. As a Flight Paramedic, you will provide direct patient care during air and ground critical care transport, ensuring the highest level of care and safety for our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Provide patient care during all phases of transport, from initial contact to care relinquishment at the accepting medical facility.
  • Document patient assessment, evaluation, interventions, patient response to therapy, changes in condition, and procedures within established timeframes.
  • Participate in pre- and post-transport briefings, ensuring seamless communication and coordination with team members.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to drive success and improve patient outcomes.
  • Ensure equipment is in working order, reporting any discrepancies and taking steps towards resolution.
  • Complete all required vehicle and equipment checklists, maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.
Requirements
  • Minimum required education: High school diploma or GED.
  • Required licensure/certification: National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) and Colorado EMT-P certification at hire. Flight Paramedic Certification (FP-C). Valid driver's license.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS); Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP) and any one of the following: Transport Professional Advanced Trauma Course (TPATC), PHTLS (Prehospital Trauma Life Support) or ITLS (International Trauma Life Support).
  • Minimum experience: 5 years paramedic experience.
