Dental Director Role
We are seeking a skilled Dental Director to oversee the operations of our expanding dental department. This role involves ensuring high-quality patient care, compliance with regulatory standards, and achievement of organizational goals. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of clinical supervision, administrative management, and strategic planning.
The Dental Director will be responsible for:
- Examining individuals requesting care, diagnosing dental/oral conditions, prescribing and carrying out treatment, or referring individuals for specialty consultation or treatment;
- Recording patient-dentist transactions and completing referrals and data collections;
- Educating individuals on oral health-related conditions and promoting oral health disease prevention;
- Ensuring compliance with Federal, State, and local laws, regulations, codes, and/or standards governing the practice of dentistry and clinical provision of dental care;
- Developing and executing best practices for management of dental staff, conducting performance evaluations, and making hiring, termination, and disciplinary decisions;
- Managing the activities of the dentistry program, including planning, coordinating, administering, and evaluating programs, projects, and service offerings;
- Leading and participating in community activities and organizations to develop partnerships/coalitions addressing assigned program issues;
- Serving as Chair of the Dental Performance Improvement Committee and/or Peer Review Committee.
Requirements and Qualifications
To be considered for this exciting opportunity, applicants must possess:
- A diploma from an accredited dental school;
- A State of Oregon License including dispensing privileges;
- A DEA Certificate;
- Current BLS certification;
- NPI registration;
- Clinical experience in a dental setting, preferably with leadership experience;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
