Salary

The estimated salary for this position is $60-$70 per class, with classes lasting one hour. This translates to an annual salary of approximately $62,400-$84,480, based on teaching five classes per week.

Job Description

As a Young Minds Educator, you will lead interactive after-school sessions centered around STEM (or STEAM) and/or cooking, using provided curriculum. You will foster an engaging and inclusive learning environment where students can actively participate in hands-on experiments and creative projects. Your goal will be to inspire a lifelong passion for learning by encouraging critical thinking, problem-solving, and teamwork.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience working with children, whether in a school, camp, or similar setting, and a passion for making a positive impact on their educational journey.
  • Effective classroom management skills, creating a safe and supportive atmosphere for students to learn and explore.
  • Values punctuality, reliability, and the opportunity to contribute to the enrichment of young minds.
Benefits

This position offers a flexible and fulfilling schedule, with classes running Monday through Fridays. You will have the opportunity to teach up to five classes per week or as little as one, depending on your availability. Classes will be taught with you and another co-teacher, and the program will start late January and run for up to 12 weeks.

This position is located in schools in Cerritos, California, part of the ABC Unified School District.
