Bullet Guard Corporation is seeking a skilled individual to fill the role of Woodshop Technician. This full-time position involves the fabrication of specialized wood and acrylic components essential for our bullet-resistant barrier systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fabricate wood-based bullet-resistant materials using various substances such as Fiberglass, Laminate, and Veneer.
  • Perform finishing tasks including filing and sanding edges of materials.
  • Utilize spray adhesives to bond materials to bullet-resistant products.
  • Adhere to safety protocols consistently within the workshop environment.
  • Employ basic math skills to interpret measurements and read blueprints accurately.
  • Demonstrate proficiency with carpentry tools and equipment.
  • Read and comprehend project drawings to produce necessary components.
  • Manufacture cabinetry, tables, countertops, and doors with attention to detail.
  • Operate various machinery, including saws and other tools, to complete projects efficiently.
  • Minimize material waste while applying laminate to surfaces.
  • Exhibit strong work ethic and multitasking capabilities.
  • Follow instructions diligently and adapt quickly to new tasks.
  • Show initiative in learning and applying new techniques relevant to the trade.
  • Handle and lift heavy materials, up to 50 pounds, as required.
  • Work effectively in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of carpentry experience, particularly with laminates.
  • Experience in fit and finish work.
  • Familiarity with materials such as Formica and Corian is advantageous.
  • Prior experience in a workshop setting is preferred.
  • Ability to operate power saws, sanders, routers, and other industrial machinery.
