POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Head of Financial Reporting and Technical Accounting will spearhead the financial reporting division and manage technical accounting projects. This position necessitates effective communication skills to liaise with various departments within and beyond the Finance sector, ensuring streamlined operations and adherence to best practices.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Compile quarterly and annual financial reports submitted to regulatory bodies.
  • Oversee the financial reporting team and enforce SOX compliance in reporting functions.
  • Engage with auditors and tax advisors on a regular basis.
  • Investigate technical accounting considerations for major transactions.
  • Mentor and cultivate the team to achieve their full potential.
  • Develop and oversee project timelines and deliverables.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
  • 8-10 years of experience in accounting and financial reporting within the oil and gas sector

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • In-depth knowledge of US GAAP
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, or similar applications
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional communication abilities
