About the Role

The COMPTROLLER OF PUBLIC ACCOUNTS is seeking a highly skilled Cloud Applications Developer to join our team. As a senior technical lead, you will be responsible for designing and developing complex cloud-based applications using NodeJs and modern cloud infrastructure technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform development tasks in NodeJs and modern cloud infrastructure technologies based on business requirements
  • Design and code complex applications adhering to design and coding standards
  • Coordinate implementation activities with all appropriate areas, including business customers
  • Identify and resolve application or environment problems
  • Perform analysis, research, and interpretation of business requirements to document technical requirements and develop technical specifications
  • Document current or proposed software applications and participate in status, training, requirements, design, and review sessions

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or Management Information Systems
  • Five years of work experience working in a technical lead role on software development projects
  • Two years of full-time work experience in the design and coding of applications using NodeJs
  • Five years of experience performing customer service in an IT environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with cloud environments and services, primarily AWS
  • Experience in designing and developing REST APIs
  • Experience in front-end development, including JavaScript frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue
  • Experience in serverless design and frameworks
  • Experience with computer security practices, such as prevention of cross-site scripting and SQL injection, DevSecOps, and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
