Position Summary

The Cannabis Cultivation Supervisor oversees a team of 4 to 8 staff members, depending on the specific department. This role is crucial in ensuring adherence to company policies, providing adequate training, and maintaining high performance standards among team members.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with the company's Uniform and Attendance policies among all team members.
  • Facilitate comprehensive training for employees on their assigned tasks, ensuring adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Address and respond to inquiries from team members regarding their job responsibilities.
  • Conduct daily team meetings to outline assignments and expectations.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in work areas on a daily basis.
  • Complete daily Employee Assessment logs and Room Logs in SharePoint.
  • Ensure that all Integrated Pest Management (IPM) logs, Parts Per Million (PPM), pH logs, and Calendars in the cultivation rooms are accurately filled out each day.
  • Oversee the maintenance and calibration of tools and equipment as necessary.
  • Manage inventory control and ensure that order request forms are submitted weekly.
  • Regularly report to management with updates, challenges, or feedback.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Strong knowledge of plant nutrients and their deficiencies is essential.
  • Experience in cannabis cultivation using various techniques and in different environments is preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Comprehensive understanding of common cultivation equipment, including electrical systems, lighting, irrigation systems, and HVAC systems.

Additional Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age (or 18 years in specific states).
  • Possession of a valid State Driver's License or the ability to obtain one is required.
  • Successful completion of a thorough background screening is mandatory.

Physical Demands

  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry a minimum of 50 lbs. to a height of at least 5 feet and across a distance of 50 feet, with or without mechanical assistance.
  • Capability to work in various positions for extended periods, including standing and sitting, while maintaining balance on ladders and other elevated surfaces.
  • Ability to handle organic materials daily and wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
  • Visual acuity to perform tasks such as reading and inspecting small components.
  • Effective verbal communication skills in a moderately noisy environment.

Compensation will be based on experience, and a comprehensive benefits package, including paid time off, is available for this position. The role typically requires an average of 40 hours of work per week, with availability for after-hours emergencies.
