About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Pediatric Nurse Practitioner to join our team at UPMC Children's Community Pediatrics. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care, collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals, and contribute to the development of policies and procedures that promote excellence in pediatric nursing.

The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, and a commitment to providing compassionate and individualized care to patients and families.

Responsibilities
  • Provide primary and preventive care to children and adolescents, including health assessments, diagnosis, and treatment of acute and chronic illnesses.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans that address the unique needs of each patient and family.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and communicate effectively with families.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures that promote excellence in pediatric nursing.
  • Stay current with best practices and evidence-based guidelines in pediatric nursing and apply this knowledge to improve patient outcomes.
Requirements

To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you must have:

  • A Master's degree in Nursing or related field.
  • A minimum of 6 months of experience in pediatric nursing, preferably in an outpatient setting.
  • Certification as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN).
  • Licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Pennsylvania or eligible for licensure by endorsement.
  • CPR certification.
