Job Title: Behavioral Health Technician

At Chimes, we are committed to providing exceptional services to individuals with mental health, substance abuse, and intellectual and developmental disabilities. We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Behavioral Health Technician to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Behavioral Health Technician will provide one-to-one services to children and adolescents, focusing on reducing maladaptive behaviors in the home, school, and community. This role requires a strong understanding of behavioral health principles and a commitment to delivering high-quality services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement clinical service delivery goals consistent with agency policies and procedures
  • Report to direct supervisor and other administrative staff in a timely and comprehensive manner
  • Complete all training requirements, including 6 hours of supervised hours in the field
  • Submit required documentation, including degrees, licenses, certifications, clearances, and formal training
  • Provide services as defined by the program description and best practice standards
  • Maintain professional relationships with consumers, families, payers, and community support service representatives
  • Participate in interagency meetings and represent the agency in an effective and professional manner
  • Develop internal systems to improve and ensure quality services
  • Prompt safe and socially acceptable replacement behaviors to build communication, social interaction, and problem-solving skills
  • Provide crisis intervention to clients, when indicated, to stabilize acute crises
  • Participate in individual and peer supervision, as well as program staff meetings
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma, Associate's Degree, or Bachelor's Degree
  • One year of full-time experience in providing mental health support services to youth or young adults
  • Certification as BCAT (Board Certified Autism Technician Certification)
  • Pennsylvania Child Abuse, Criminal, and fingerprint-based federal criminal history clearances
