About the Role:
As an Operating Engineer at CBRE, you will utilize your technical expertise to perform complex preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on buildings, industrial systems, vehicles, equipment, and grounds. Working under supervision, you will monitor building system operations and performance, applying various trade skills such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, roofing, heating, and cooling.
Key Responsibilities:
- Align with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency, and Company directives related to building operations and work safety.
- Perform contracted work, including landscaping, snow removal, remodeling, HVAC, plumbing, and cleaning.
- Manage and inspect the work performed by outside contractors.
- Review assigned work orders, estimate time and materials needed to complete repairs, and order materials and supplies to finish tasks.
Requirements:
- A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) and a minimum of four years of related experience and/or trade school training.
- Universal CFC certification is preferred.
- Ability to comprehend and interpret instructions and memos, and ask clarifying questions to ensure understanding.
- Basic knowledge of financial terms and principles.
