Job Summary:

As a Senior Programmer at Upstate University Hospital, you will play a key role in coordinating the implementation of web applications. Your responsibilities will include working with end-users to gather requirements, design, implement, test, train, support, and maintain web applications. You will also provide end-user assistance, analyze problems or needs, design solutions, and identify required system adaptations. Additionally, you will organize and provide system documentation to support the maintenance and general application life-cycle. Furthermore, you will assist with periodic system maintenance and upgrade activities.

Key Responsibilities:

* Work with end-users to gather requirements and design web applications
* Implement, test, train, support, and maintain web applications
* Provide end-user assistance and analyze problems or needs
* Design solutions and identify required system adaptations
* Organize and provide system documentation
* Assist with periodic system maintenance and upgrade activities

Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree and 6 years of relevant Information Technology experience or an Associate's degree and 8 years of relevant Information Technology experience
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
* Ability to evaluate existing application solutions and provide guidance and direction to improve on those workflows
* Complex programming and systems analysis experience developing and supporting web applications using JavaScript and relevant JavaScript libraries, ColdFusion, .NET, or other modern web development frameworks
* Strong experience with database design and development in Oracle or SQL Server

Preferred Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree and 8 years of relevant information systems experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
* Ability to evaluate existing application solutions and provide guidance and direction to improve on those workflows
* Complex programming and systems analysis experience developing and supporting web applications using JavaScript and relevant JavaScript libraries, .NET, or other modern web development frameworks
* Experience with database design and development

Work Environment:

This position is a full-time role with a standard Monday to Friday schedule, 8 hours a day.
