Responsibilities:

  • Prepares equipment before and during procedures
  • Identifies and assesses patient condition, preparing and positioning patients as needed
  • Maintains a sterile environment during procedures
  • Serves as a preceptor for new hires and radiology students, participating in their orientation
  • Uses downtime effectively by stocking rooms, checking equipment, and completing delegated tasks
  • Maintains strong working relationships with physicians and leadership to facilitate excellent patient care

Requirements:

  • Cath Lab RT Orientation completion within 6 months
  • All competencies listed in department policy completed within 6 months
  • Completion of a 24-month formal program or military program of Radiologic Technology, with American Registry of Radiologic Technologist eligibility and/or current RCIS certification
  • Previous Procedural Area experience preferred
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technology Registered and/or RCIS, Cardiovascular (CV) or (CI) and/or (VI) certification preferred, Basic Life Support training required during orientation, and ACLS training to be achieved within 6 months of hire
