Position Overview:
We are seeking a Trusts & Estates Associate with a minimum of 3 years of experience in estate planning and tax law.
The Trusts & Estates team provides guidance to families and individuals on the management and distribution of their estates through both basic and advanced estate planning strategies.
Our attorneys also handle matters related to closely held businesses and tax-exempt organizations. A Missouri law license is mandatory.
Ideal Candidate Qualifications:
- Proficient in estate, gift, GST, and related tax regulations.
- Experienced in estate and wealth planning methodologies, including drafting essential documents (revocable/irrevocable trusts, wills, powers of attorney, etc.).
- Knowledgeable in probate and trust administration.
- Skilled in drafting premarital agreements.
- Adept at researching and analyzing complex state and federal tax law issues.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
The annual billable hour requirement is set at 1700 hours.
Additionally, we allow for up to 100 hours of professional development, business development, and firm investment credit, along with up to 50 hours of pro bono work.
This means not all time needs to be strictly billable.We look forward to discussing this opportunity with you.
