Job Summary

Avera is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our team in providing exceptional outpatient services to our patients. As a key member of our mental health center, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality care, collaborating with our multidisciplinary team, and contributing to the development of our programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individual, group, and family psychotherapy or skill-building activities, including assessment, treatment planning, treatment, referral, termination, and emergency/crisis intervention services.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans that address the unique needs of our patients, including addressing failure to appear clients before 3rd consecutive no-show visit.
  • Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care and effective communication.
  • Participate in Southwestern Mental Health Center, Inc. peer review utilization and quality assurance projects and procedures.
  • Present educational material to promote community understanding and response to mental health, chemical dependency, and/or developmental disability issues.
  • Administer a variety of psychometric metric evaluations and measures.
Requirements
  • Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from an accredited University/College.
  • State of Minnesota Psychology Licensure required.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment, coordinating work flow with other team members and ensuring a productive and efficient environment.
  • Commitment to the daily application of SWMHC's mission, to serve patients, their families and our community.
  • Maintain confidentiality.
Work Environment

May be exposed to communicable diseases when working in a health care environment. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
