Emergency Department Nurse

Key Responsibilities:- Provide direct, professional nursing care to patients in the acute care setting.
- Develop and implement individualized patient-centered plans of care.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient medical records.
- Counsel and educate patients and their care partners on treatment plans.
- Administer medication safely and effectively.
- Provide wound care and dressing changes as needed.
- Read and interpret patient information to inform treatment decisions.
- Consult with physicians to determine best treatment options.
- Perform nursing interventions to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
- Observe and record patient behavior and response to nursing interventions.
- Demonstrate quality, safe, and effective patient care.
- Delegate tasks to unlicensed assistive staff and LPN staff as needed.
- Exemplify Bayhealth's core values of compassion, accountability, respect, teamwork, and integrity.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or equivalent.
- Credential: Registered Nurse (RN) with Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Experience: Required: Experience in relevant specialty. Preferred: Certification related to the position.
