We are seeking a skilled Blood Collection Specialist to join our team at the National Guard Employment Network. As a Blood Collection Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient collection of blood donations.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with our team to transport and set up equipment at blood collection sites in local communities.
- Create a welcoming and comfortable environment for volunteer donors, fostering a positive and supportive atmosphere.
- Follow all safety procedures while collecting lifesaving blood donations that are delivered to hospitals.
- Participate in paid phlebotomy training, developing your healthcare skills and career within our organization.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Customer service experience and effective verbal communication skills are essential.
- A current, valid driver's license with a good driving record is required.
- Physical requirements include the ability to lift, push or pull heavy weights up and down ramps and stairs, good manual dexterity, and the ability to sit or stand for long periods of time.
- Prior healthcare or phlebotomy experience (CNA, MA, EMT, etc.).
- Prior leadership experience.
