Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Process Project Engineer to join our Boston office, where you will help us empower our clients to achieve energy-efficient building solutions, save global environments, and create a better, greener future for all.
Responsibilities- Develop P&ID's, equipment and piping specifications, complete hydraulic sizing, and heat transfer calculations for plant systems, including process vessels, fermenters, separation technologies, tank farms, process piping, utility systems, pumps, heat transfer systems, scrubbers, waste treatment, CIP/SIP, and relief systems.
- Attend design meetings, perform field surveys, facilitate Process Hazard Analysis (PHA), field vendor quotations, and review vendor submittals.
- Lead design projects in the biopharmaceutical industry, utilizing knowledge of pharmaceutical validation processes and industry standards.
- Collaborate with clients, partners, and internal stakeholders to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.
- BS in Chemical Engineering, Biological Systems Engineering, or similar from an ABET accredited program.
- 8+ years of experience in a consulting environment designing Chemical Process systems or leading design projects in the biopharmaceutical industry.
- Experience with communicating with clients, partners, and individuals at all levels within an organization.
- Knowledge and experience with piping systems and a variety of unit operations as applied to pharmaceutical, food, and chemical processing.
- Understanding of applicable design codes, standards, and specification requirements, and ability to interpret them.
- Professional engineering registration.
- Detailed, hands-on knowledge of PLC or DCS control systems.
- Experience with industrial networks and communication protocols.
- Ability to travel for client meetings, field surveys, commissioning, and startup support.
- Strong spoken and written communication skills.
- Excellent organization and time management skills.
- Quick technical comprehension and motivation focused on client outcomes.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
- Ability to work effectively individually and within team environments.
