Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Career Coach to join our team at Equus Workforce Solutions. As a Career Coach, you will play a critical role in helping job seekers and career changers prepare for and advance in careers with a focus on sustainable, high-growth, high-demand industries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive programs of classroom, work-based, and community-based activities to help students achieve personal and program goals.
  • Teach classes of the Jobs for America's Graduates (JAG) curriculum in assigned high schools, using current and effective teaching methods to instruct students.
  • Develop classroom lesson plans incorporating the JAG curriculum, along with supplemental materials, activities, and guest speakers, to ensure students achieve specific JAG competencies.
  • Assess each student's educational and employment preparedness, administer required testing and assessments, and provide case management services, guidance, support, tutoring, and referral to other community partners when appropriate.
  • Monitor and maintain program and participants data and records, including graduation rates, positive outcome rates, employment rates, postsecondary rates, full-time jobs, and placement rates.
Requirements
  • Related Associate degree from an accredited university or college, or equivalent work experience.
  • Related work experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated customer service skills.
  • Familiarity with the communities being served, with knowledge and understanding of local needs and resources.
