We are currently looking for a certified Mammography Technologist to perform mammography procedures on ambulatory and hospital patients in a physician office, clinic, or hospital setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of procedures and patient safety, as well as excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Utilize AIDET when communicating with patients to identify service requirements, ensure correct exams are performed, and establish rapport.
  • Instruct patients on the test to be performed and assess their ability to tolerate the exam.
  • Prepare patients or areas for mammography procedures by positioning, adjusting immobilization devices, and moving equipment into position.
  • Protect patients and employees by adhering to safety requirements, infection-control policies, and radiation protocols.
  • Work with engineers and physicists to ensure optimal operational capabilities of equipment and report issues to management.
  • Obtain, verify, and maintain relevant documentation, such as requisitions, patient histories, and consent forms.
Requirements:
  • Motivated candidates with a strong knowledge of procedures and patient safety.
  • AHA Current Basic Life Support certification for Health Care Providers.
  • BSN from an accredited nursing program and proper licensure.
  • Excellent communication skills with staff, physicians, patients, and families.
