Key Responsibilities
  • Patrol and Monitoring: Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas to identify and address potential security risks and concerns.
  • Incident Response: Respond promptly and effectively to incidents, emergencies, and security breaches, ensuring the safety of all individuals involved.
  • Investigations: Conduct thorough investigations into incidents and security breaches, gathering evidence and interviewing witnesses as needed.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with hospital staff, law enforcement, and other stakeholders to ensure a safe and secure environment for all.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Accurately document and report all incidents, security breaches, and other relevant information in a timely and professional manner.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: 2 years of experience in security, law enforcement, fire, military, safety, EMS, or a similar occupation, with some college education.
  • Certifications and Training: Heartsaver CPR or BLS CPR certification, crisis prevention and handcuffing training certification, and International Association for Healthcare Security and Safety basic certification.
  • Skills and Abilities: Excellent oral and written communication skills, ability to work independently, provide sound judgment and confidentiality, and attention to detail and organization.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to write complete, accurate, and concise incident reports, and to communicate effectively with hospital staff, law enforcement, and other stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving and Critical Thinking: Ability to analyze situations, identify potential security risks, and develop effective solutions.
  • Teamwork and Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with hospital staff, law enforcement, and other stakeholders to ensure a safe and secure environment for all.
