Position Overview:

The Psychiatry Department at Capital Health is seeking a qualified BC/BE Child Psychiatrist for a full-time role within our established multi-specialty practice.

Position Details:

  • Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM
  • On-Call Duties: Physicians are responsible for on-call duties for their own patients

Additional Treatment Modalities:

  • Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS): A non-invasive procedure that uses magnetic fields to stimulate nerve cells in the brain.
  • Yoga Therapy: Integrates yoga practices with traditional therapy to enhance emotional and physical well-being.
  • Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR): A specialized therapy aimed at alleviating distress associated with traumatic memories.

Mindfulness and Meditation Techniques: These techniques help patients manage anxiety, depression, and feelings of isolation by promoting present-moment awareness and emotional regulation.

Our team collaborates closely with referring providers and other departments within Capital Health to ensure comprehensive and effective psychiatric care and counseling services.
