Agronomy Trainee

Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Agronomy Internship candidate to join our team at Central Region Cooperative. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in agronomy sales, plot management, and customer service.

Salary:

$40,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience.

Job Description:

The Agronomy Intern will assist agronomy sales staff with weed and pest scouting, operate forklifts and other equipment as qualified, attend plot days, sales meetings, and team meetings. The candidate will also visit producers with sales staff, assist in collecting field plot data, monitor and maintain seed and chemical warehouse inventory, learn about agronomy products and services offered by Central Region Cooperative, and represent the cooperative professionally at all times.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

High school diploma, enrolled in a two or four-year college program, valid driver's license, availability to work extended hours during peak seasons, computer and data entry skills, ability to follow directions and effectively communicate with others.
