About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Cardiovascular Specialist to join our team at Intermountain Health Lutheran Hospital in Wheat Ridge, Colorado.

Job Summary

This is a full-time position that requires technical support during invasive cardiovascular procedures. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a catheterization lab and possess excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides technical support during invasive cardiovascular procedures under the supervision of the RN.
• Assists physicians in radiological imaging of cardiac and vascular procedures, acts as scrub assistant, maintaining sterile conditions during clinical procedures.
• Operates imaging equipment and works in the control room monitoring and documenting procedure images and events.
• Educates patients and families regarding the procedure and about the expectations of the procedure.
• Teaches patient and family about pre and post procedure physical conditions.
• Assists in maintaining order and cleanliness of the unit.
• Maintains appropriate stock levels for complex interventions and diagnostic procedures.
• Completes daily, progress and discharge documentation according to departmental standards.
• Accurately documents productivity information.
• Participates in quality and patient safety initiatives.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
• Registered ARRT or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Technologist RCIS within 18 months of hire, or Registered Respiratory Therapist with CV Specific certification, required.
• RCIS or RCES, required.
• Current Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS-HCP), required.
• ACLS and Surgical Technologist License with DORA obtained within 3 months of hire in state of Colorado, required.
