Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Millwright to join our team at Kimberly-Clark. As a Millwright, you will be responsible for assembling high precision mechanical and pneumatic components into complex machine assemblies according to blueprints and work instructions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble parts, subassemblies, and assemblies per specifications
  • Analyze mechanical components and assemblies to identify and correct items that do not fit correctly, need adjustment, are worn or damaged, need replacement, require lubrication, etc.
  • Read and interpret complex engineering drawings to assemble mechanical components into complete assemblies, verify individual components were manufactured in conformance to drawing specifications, and understand, and apply information specified in a bill of material
  • Operate various machinery and equipment, including Bridgeport, lathe, drill, tap, torque, torque monitoring, rivet, hammer, ream, saw, cut, grind, and similar processes
  • Understand and apply lifting and rigging techniques, choose proper size and type of material handling equipment, and operate forklift, overhead hoists, portable cranes, chain hoists, electric and manual hydraulic jacks, etc.
Requirements
  • 18 years or older and authorized to work in the United States
  • ~ 1+ years of continuous work experience
  • ~ Can pass post-offer / pre-hire Physical Abilities Test (PAT)
  • Possess basic machine shop, welding, and fabricating skills
  • Fabricate parts from blueprints and sketches
  • Proficiencies in the assembly, disassembly and installation of mechanical systems and components commonly found on high-speed rotating equipment and safe execution of rigging and large equipment transportation
  • Understanding of predictive, preventative maintenance concepts, mechanical assemblies, and commitment to continuing education
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Excel & Word
