The Psychology Program, part of the Division of Social Sciences at Saint Xavier University, is seeking applications for a tenure-track faculty position at any rank.
While the specific area of specialization is flexible, we particularly welcome candidates with expertise in cognitive, developmental, sociocultural, quantitative, clinical/counseling, or biological psychology.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver psychology courses pertinent to the candidate's area of specialization (12 credit hours per semester).
Research and Engagement
- Actively participate in scholarly activities.
- Involve undergraduate students in research initiatives.
- Contribute to the program and university through service.
- Provide academic advising to undergraduate students.
- A Doctorate in psychology or a closely related field; ABD candidates will be considered, provided they successfully defend their dissertation prior to the start of the academic year.
- Demonstrated effectiveness in teaching.
- Evidence of scholarly work, such as peer-reviewed publications.
- A commitment to engaging students in research.
- Alignment with the mission of Saint Xavier University.

- A cover letter detailing undergraduate psychology courses taught and those the candidate is qualified to teach.

- A teaching philosophy that includes strategies for engaging students in research.
