Job Summary:

The National Coalition of Healthcare Recruiters is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Psychiatry Medical Director to lead our inpatient eating disorders program. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing medical and clinical leadership to our multidisciplinary staff, ensuring the highest level of care for our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of medical and clinical staff in the treatment of eating disorders, including anorexia, bulimia, binge eating, and related mental health conditions.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans that incorporate intensive medical care, psychiatric treatment, individual, family, and group psychotherapy, and dietary management and counseling.
  • Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to patients, including those with co-occurring psychiatric illnesses such as depression, anxiety, drug and alcohol abuse, and trauma.
  • Oversee the administrative aspects of the program, including budgeting, staffing, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Contribute to research and teaching efforts related to eating disorders, and participate in national and local medical conferences to share knowledge and best practices.

Requirements:

  • Board Eligible/Board Certified Psychiatrist with extensive experience in treating eating disorders.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with experience in leading multidisciplinary teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
