Position Overview

As a key leader in the Computerized Tomography Department, you will oversee the daily operations and ensure the delivery of high-quality imaging services. Your expertise will be crucial in maintaining patient care standards and optimizing workflow efficiency.

Work Schedule

This is a full-time position, requiring 40 hours per week during the day shift.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct the operations of the department, ensuring exceptional quality of imaging and patient care.
  • Supervise patient documentation to guarantee accuracy and timely completion.
  • Manage quality control processes, including equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Act as a resource for department staff and collaborate with team members as necessary.
  • Conduct staff orientation, training, and performance coaching.
  • Provide valuable input for staff performance evaluations.
  • Accurately position patients and select appropriate technical parameters.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards.
  • Facilitate the prompt submission of high-quality images and documentation to the PACS system.
  • Maintain a clean and organized department environment, including all procedure and storage areas.

Qualifications

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • Current BLS Provider certification required within one month of hire.
  • Radiologic Technologist credential from the Florida Radiologic Technology Board required prior to hire.
  • One or more of the following certifications required:
    • Nuclear Medical Tech credential from the NMTCB.
    • ARRT certification in Computed Tomography.
    • ARRT certification in Radiography.

Education:

A minimum of a high school diploma with two years of relevant experience, or an associate's/technical degree with one year of experience, or five years of applicable job-specific experience is required.
