- Implement safe practices in all aspects of patient care and activities, prioritizing patient safety and well-being.
- Maintain current knowledge and standards of professional nursing practices, staying up-to-date with the latest developments in the field.
- Assume shift charge nurse responsibilities when assigned, leading by example and promoting a positive and supportive team environment.
- Make patient care assignments based on skill, experience, and acuity of the patient, ensuring that each patient receives the best possible care.
- Direct and precept staff as needed/assigned, providing guidance and support to ensure the success of our team.
- Participate in quality process improvements in the department, contributing to the development of innovative solutions and best practices.
Requirements:
- Associate's degree in nursing (ADN) from an accredited school of nursing.
- Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing, preferred.
- Current RN license for the State of Texas or current compact state license.
- Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Experience working with electronic medical records systems.
- Consistent work history and longevity with previous employers.
