The Shuttle Driver is a vital member of our team at Enso Village, responsible for safely transporting residents to and from medical appointments, social outings, and other activities.
Key Responsibilities:- Drive various types of vehicles to transport residents, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Perform under varying weather conditions, adhering to traffic laws and defensive driving practices.
- Assist residents in and out of vehicles, providing courteous and respectful assistance.
- Operate wheelchair lift devices to board and deboard passengers, ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Maintain accurate records of trips, mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff to coordinate schedules and transportation needs.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current and valid California driver's license.
- Five years of driving experience, with a clean driving record and no accidents or moving violations in the past three years.
- CPR and First Aid Certification.
- Prior experience as a professional driver, preferably in a senior living or healthcare setting.
- Ability to sit for extended periods while driving.
- Ability to reach, stoop, and bend to position and secure residents in vehicles.
- Ability to lift, carry, and push/pull up to 50 pounds.
