Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist Clinical Fellow to join our North Houston Division. This role can be fulfilled on a Full-Time or Part-Time basis, serving families in the North Katy/Cypress area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough Speech Therapy assessments utilizing standardized evaluation tools to identify patient needs.
- Utilize clinical expertise to create and execute effective treatment plans in accordance with physician directives.
- Collaborate with caregivers to develop home exercise programs that support patient progress.
- Engage as an integral member of the healthcare team, ensuring coordinated care across various disciplines.
- Maintain a consistent schedule of patient visits as mandated by agency requirements.
- Complete all necessary documentation, including patient chart updates and progress reports, in a timely manner.
- Participate in meetings with agency staff to stay informed about expectations and standards for high-quality patient care.
- Uphold compliance with agency policies and relevant regulations governing pediatric speech language pathology.
Qualifications:
- Must possess a current and active license to practice Speech Language Pathology in Texas.
- Demonstrated reliability and an innovative approach to therapy.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and resource needs within the organization.
- Proficiency in using standard workplace technology, including computers and communication tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a home-health environment through clinical externships or rotations.
- Specialized training or certifications in feeding therapy or related clinical areas (e.g., VitalStim, SOS, SOFFI, MBSiMP).
