Essentia Health is seeking a skilled Echocardiography Technologist to join our team at St. Mary's Medical Center. As a key member of our Non-Invasive Cardiovascular Lab, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.
Job Summary:The Echocardiography Technologist will be responsible for performing a variety of echocardiographic studies in the echo lab, patient care units, procedural units, or surgical setting for patients. You will provide measurement and image data to cardiologists for interpretation and may also perform other cardiovascular tests as required by Essentia Health.
Responsibilities:- Perform echocardiographic studies and provide high-quality images and data to cardiologists for interpretation.
- Provide patient care and support during echocardiographic procedures.
- Operate and maintain echocardiographic equipment and ensure proper functioning.
- Collaborate with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective patient care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
- Current registration as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) through the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS), OR Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) through Cardiovascular Credentialing International.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 1 month of hire or transfer.
- Ability to meet the driving requirements and criteria acceptable to Essentia Health's insurer.
- Competitive hourly rate: $55.95/hour.
