Job Title: Steel Shop Lead

Waterfront Brands is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Steel Shop Lead to join our team. As a Steel Shop Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the production area, ensuring a smooth workflow, and coordinating with the Manufacturing Manager and inventory controller.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure strict adherence to safety policies and procedures, and make suggestions for continuous improvements in safety.
  • Coordinate with the Manufacturing Manager and inventory controller to ensure efficient production.
  • Provide employees with necessary tooling and supplies.
  • Review steel job prints and picklists to ensure accuracy.
  • Supervise department employees, complete annual evaluations, and provide employee training and coaching.
  • Ensure quality control and correct any errors.
  • Report production errors to the Manufacturing Manager.
  • Assist in day-to-day department operations and contribute to a continuous improvement culture.

Requirements:

  • All available forklift certification.
  • Knowledge of production process.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Record keeping.
  • Microsoft Word & Excel.
  • Presentation skills.
  • Competent with all workshop machinery.
  • MIG/TIG welding processes.
  • All fabrication machines.
