We are seeking a skilled Marine Carpenter to join our team in Hobe Sound, Florida.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct marine construction tasks under the direction of a crew leader, ensuring timely and safe completion of projects.
- Load and unload equipment and materials, maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
- Install and construct marine structures, including bridges, walkways, piers, boat ramps, seawalls, docks, wharfs, and jetties, using expertise in sheet piles, prestressed concrete piles, tubular steel piles, and H-Piles.
- Build framework for concrete placement, including placing and finishing concrete, and install and tie rebar as per construction drawings and rebar specifications.
- Collaborate with the construction team to ensure compliance with project specifications, safety protocols, and quality standards.
- Participate in regular site inspections and quality control checks to ensure adherence to company standards.
- Develop and maintain a strong understanding of heavy civil work, sheet pile, earthwork, and concrete construction techniques.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in marine construction, carpentry, or a related field.
- Proven expertise in installing and constructing marine structures, including bridges, walkways, piers, boat ramps, seawalls, docks, wharfs, and jetties.
- Knowledge of sheet piles, prestressed concrete piles, tubular steel piles, and H-Piles, as well as concrete and carpentry techniques.
- Ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced marine construction environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate with crew leaders and other team members.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel within the state as required.
