Acute Care Surgery Opportunity

We invite an experienced Acute Care Surgeon to join our team at Backus Hospital, as part of Hartford HealthCare (HHC). As a critical care specialist, you will work alongside a dedicated team to provide exceptional patient care and contribute to the hospital's mission of delivering high-quality healthcare services.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the care team in the Surgical ICU, Acute Care Surgery, Emergency General Surgery, and Trauma service, making informed decisions to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and colleagues, fostering trust and respect.
  • Stay current with the latest advancements in critical care medicine, surgical intensive care, and trauma management, applying this knowledge to improve patient care and reduce complications.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, collaborating with colleagues to identify areas for improvement and implementing evidence-based solutions.

Your Compensation

A competitive salary range of $500,000 - $700,000 annually, based on experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision coverage, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and more. Your Qualifications:

  • Board certification or eligibility in General Surgery, with fellowship training in Acute Care Surgery.
  • Licensure or eligibility for licensure in Connecticut.
