About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Linux Systems Administrator to join our team at Lockheed Martin. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of various IT systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage IT systems, including day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for all client/server/storage/network devices.
  • Patch and harden Linux Red Hat OS and work with security personnel to protect against cyber threats.
  • Work in an agile scrum environment, providing support for implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of various IT systems.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college with 7 years of professional experience, 5 years of professional experience with a Master's degree, or equivalent experience/combined education.
  • Advanced professional experience with Linux system administration.
  • Experience in software practices and configuration management.
  • Scripting experience.
Desired Skills
  • Red Hat OS patching/hardening experience.
  • Red Hat OpenShift.
  • AWX.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a rapid-paced, team environment.
  • Agile development experience.
  • Experience using C/C++ or another object-oriented development language.
  • Security+ Cert.
  • Linux Certifications.
