Position Overview:
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled clinician with prior specialty experience, focused on advancing their knowledge and expertise. This role involves delivering effective direct care as part of a multidisciplinary team to a diverse range of complex patients. The candidate will actively seek and provide constructive feedback to enhance clinical practices.
The role also includes:
- Assuming a foundational clinical leadership role and seeking mentorship.
- Participating as a professional member of the VOICE nursing shared governance, contributing insights on relevant issues.
- Engaging in Unit Council activities aimed at improving nursing-sensitive indicators, RN satisfaction, employee engagement, safety culture, and patient experience metrics.
- Collaborating with fellow care team members to recruit and maintain a high-quality nursing staff.
- For new graduate RNs, the focus will be on developing competencies and progressively managing more complex patient care.
The responsibilities include providing direct and safe patient care based on the nursing process and coordinating care for assigned patients to achieve optimal clinical outcomes. This position requires consultation with more experienced clinicians and embraces feedback as a valuable tool for professional growth.
Minimum Job Qualifications
- Licensure or Certifications: Must be licensed to practice as an RN in Georgia.
- Educational Requirements: Associate's Degree in Nursing.
- Minimum Experience: Completion of Peri-op 101 or equivalent, or experience in a procedural area.
- Other: At least one year of experience as a professional RN. New graduate RNs or those with less than one year of experience will be directed to the RN Residency Program.
Preferred Job Qualifications
- Preferred Licensure or Certifications: National certification in a clinical specialty.
- Preferred Educational Requirements: Bachelor of Nursing Degree.
- Preferred Experience: Two years of experience in the specialty nursing field (Operating Room).
- Other: Membership in a professional organization.
