GIS Analyst

Hazen and Sawyer is seeking a highly skilled GIS Specialist to join our team in the planning, modeling, permitting, and design of various water, wastewater, and stormwater related infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain various types of GIS data, including spatial databases, to support enterprise GIS databases and services.
• Provide GIS training and support to team members, as needed.
• Manage and coordinate GIS-focused tasks and initiatives to ensure efficient project delivery.
• Perform quality assurance and quality control review of GIS data and compile metadata to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Digitize, scan, and georeference maps, engineering drawings, and imagery to support project requirements.
• Develop tools and workflows to automate and streamline mapping, data management, and geoprocessing tasks to improve productivity and efficiency.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the success of the team.

Requirements:

A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Environmental Science, Engineering, Geographic Information Systems, Geography, Land Use Planning, or a directly related discipline is required, along with relevant work experience.
