Job Title: Industrial Service Technician Apprentice

Rumpke of Ohio, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Industrial Service Technician Apprentice to join our team. As an apprentice, you will have the opportunity to learn and develop skills in various areas of industrial service, including equipment delivery, installation, and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Equipment Delivery: Load, secure, and deliver compactors, balers, and augers utilizing roll off trucks, roll back trucks, and trailers.
  • Installation and Maintenance: Assist in sanding, grinding, cutting, welding, and other fabrication or repair work on company containers, compactors, and other equipment in a safe manner.
  • Welding and Fabrication: Weld steel using Mig and Arc welding equipment, and fabricate steel components on compactors.
  • Shop Operations: Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with Company and OSHA standards, and complete required paperwork utilizing computer systems.
  • Customer Interaction: Provide professional interaction with internal and external customers, and maintain a positive work atmosphere by performing and communicating in a manner that promotes good relationships.
Requirements:
  • Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent, and a valid Class B CDL.
  • Skills and Abilities: Basic knowledge of welding and cutting, moderate welding and mechanical aptitude, and ability to operate a forklift safely.
  • Physical Demands: Continuously lifting/carrying a max of 35lbs, frequently up to 75lbs, and often up to 100lbs, and frequently pushing/pulling a max of 75lbs.
