Role Summary:
The Tablet Press Set-Up is pivotal in the assembly, maintenance, and operation of tablet press and compression machinery. This position demands strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) to ensure product quality and output.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Disassemble, clean, and reassemble tablet press and compression machines.
  • Ensure optimal functioning of machinery.
  • Initiate production runs post set-up completion.
  • Identify and troubleshoot issues during set-up.
  • Maintain accurate logbooks with up-to-date information.
  • Document start-up and in-process data in batch records.
  • Operate machinery in alignment with production demands.
  • Utilize material handling equipment, including pallet jacks and manual lifts.
  • Comply with SOPs, cGMPs, and safety protocols.
  • Provide coverage for operators during breaks or absences.
  • Execute additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Physical capability to lift, stand, climb, and bend in a manufacturing setting.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Exposure to powders, chemicals, and allergens in the work environment.

Experience:
  • Minimum of 2 years in mechanical or manufacturing machine operation.
  • Prior experience in manufacturing or pharmaceuticals is preferred.

Skills:
  • Basic mathematical and technical skills.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Capability to work independently and meet deadlines.

The estimated hourly wage for this position ranges from $23.46 to $28.33, which includes a shift differential.
