Feed Formulation Specialist

This position is responsible for developing and implementing feed formulations to meet the nutritional needs of turkeys, ensuring the quality and consistency of feed products. The successful candidate will work closely with farms, service personnel, and facilities to ensure that supplies are aligned with projected demand.

• Conduct daily testing and record-keeping of feed-related ingredients and finished feed products.
• Prepare chemical solutions and operate laboratory equipment for testing procedures.
• Perform general laboratory housekeeping and maintain a safe work environment.
• Sample preparation, testing of ingredients and feeds, and computation of results from testing procedures.
• Shipment of samples to other laboratories for external testing.
• Comprehension and use of all safety equipment to properly conduct testing, data entry, and summary report generation.

• Excellent communication skills and ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions in English.
• Computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Excel.
• Basic mathematical skills and ability to comprehend and use safety equipment.
• Currently enrolled or working towards an associate degree in Animal Science, Microbiology, Poultry Science, or related field.
• A valid North Carolina Driver's License and an acceptable motor vehicle driving record preferred.
