Key Responsibilities:
- SH&E Culture Development: Actively engage with the Site Leadership Team, guiding and mentoring managers and line leaders to foster a robust SH&E culture across all departments.
- Performance Improvement: Collaborate with site leadership to establish SH&E priorities and key performance indicators aimed at enhancing overall site performance.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the site maintains a continuous state of compliance with internal SH&E policies and all relevant external regulations.
- Program Development: Design and implement best-in-class SH&E programs, systems, and processes, including comprehensive training and mentoring to ensure clear understanding of safety measures.
- Risk Management: Lead the implementation of risk assessment processes to effectively identify and mitigate hazards, ensuring clear communication of these measures to all employees.
- Incident Investigation: Oversee investigations of SH&E-related incidents, utilizing analytical tools to determine root causes and develop preventive actions.
- Capability Building: Cultivate SH&E talent within the site through active coaching and feedback, preparing individuals for advanced roles.
- Technical Support: Provide expert guidance in all SH&E initiatives, ensuring alignment with corporate sustainability strategies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in a scientific or engineering discipline, or significant professional experience in SH&E.
- A minimum of 5 years in SH&E roles, with experience as a Site SH&E leader in a manufacturing environment.
- Professional certifications in SH&E are advantageous.
- In-depth knowledge of ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 standards, along with a solid understanding of OSHA, EPA, and DOT regulations.
- Proven leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence across various levels of the organization.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a detail-oriented and results-driven approach.
