Job Summary

The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the production department, ensuring that productivity, quality, and safety standards are met. This role involves planning, scheduling, and directing the work efforts of production associates to achieve business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct and coordinate daily activities and performance of production associates to ensure delivery of high productivity, quality, and customer service.
  • Manage employee performance through motivation, delegation, development, mentoring, and resolving conflict.
  • Conduct regular department meetings to foster employee engagement, communicate changes to company policies, and address employee concerns.
  • Participate in staff selection, performance evaluations, and corrective action as necessary.
  • Evaluate and interpret business demand, prioritize, and distribute daily work assignments.
  • Establish line assignments and staffing based on business needs.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory levels in the material handling and production areas.
  • Review and record all production documentation.
  • Implement and maintain a safe work environment by directing safety training and generating standard operating procedures.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent degree; or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
  • 3-5 years of manufacturing experience.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business documents and procedures.
  • Proficient use of MS Office and Warehouse Management System software.
Work Environment

The Production Supervisor will work in a fast-paced manufacturing and warehouse environment, exposed to moderate noise levels and varying temperatures. The role may require occasional travel to visit other office locations or attend company events.
